"The time and care spent on me was breath taking"

About: Trauma & orthopaedics / Orthopaedic National Treatment Centre

(as the patient),

I was recently in NTC Orthopaedic ward.  After two years of chronic pain I was operated on and and now at home and already feel 100 time better.

From the moment I entered the building to the moment I left, I was treated like a king and all staff from cleaners to my brilliant surgeon, Oisin, were simply superb.  Simply the best.  The time and care spent on me was breath taking, and nothing was too much trouble to all staff

Thank you to Oisin, Bretta - who stuck a three inch needle in me! -   all the theatre girls that looked after me,  ward staff  -  Emma, Donna, Nicky, Andy -  all the OT's, Hannah, to name a few, and so many more!

I cannot express my genuine gratitude to all staff and each and every one should be very proud.  I know I am! Everyone I met are an absolute credit to themselves, their families, and the NHS!

Hi,

Thank you for taking the time to provide this lovely feedback, regarding your recent stay at the National Treatment Centre. All patient feedback is appreciated, as this allows our team to reflect on the care we provided and identify areas where we can improve or develop, to promote high quality person centred care.

I am pleased to know that the operation has went well and your pain levels have significantly reduced, since having your surgery.

It is rewarding to hear that you felt you were treated like a ‘King’, by all members of our staff. Team work is very important to us and we feel every member of the team has a significant role in helping patients to recover following their procedure. Therefore, I am grateful of your recognition of this.

Mr Keenan has read this post and is delighted with the feedback. I will share this feedback with the NTC team and I am sure they will be pleased too, thank you.

I hope you are recovering well and I wish you all the best with your future recovery.

Take care,

Briony Klos
