"Care from all staff"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Accident & Emergency Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Breathing and lung problems (Respiratory Wards 7a, 7b, 7c & 7d)

(as the patient),

I am late in sharing my thanks as it has taken longer to recover. I was taken to the QEUH, Glasgow, mid April. I remained for 9 nights. I would like to pass on heartfelt thanks to all staff members who were directly, and indirectly involved in my care.

A&E. Emma, Laura and Alanah. I would also like to thank Charge Nurse Lesley. Although she wasn't involved in my care, she came over to my cubicle to say hello. She has known me since before the Western Infirmary closed down. It was really nice to see a familiar face.

Ward 7B SNs Josh, Katherine, Lyndsey, Emma, Beth, Hanan and Tosin. CSWs Catherine, Sinimol, Colin and Angela.

Student Nurse Tajah. Charge Nurse Yasmin. Kitchen staff Ray and Chris. Drs Crystal and Eve. Phlebotomists Janet and Margaret. Pharmacist Eileen. Porter Anna.

Sorry if I missed anyone. As busy and I imagine as stressed as they were, this did not alter the care and dedication they showed to their patients. Too many people are quick to blame staff for waiting times etc, but any complaints are not the fault of staff. I have never(!) found 1 fault, in the many years I've been a patient. Every single member of staff are a credit to the NHS

Dear NHSrules,

I am sorry to hear you were admitted to the hospital recently, I hope this finds you feeling better and recovering well at home. Thank you as always, for the lovely care opinion you have submitted after your recent attendance, the staff really do appreciate getting such positive feedback, they work extremely hard in often difficult circumstances, and to have this acknowledged and recognised from the patients they are looking after really does boost their moral - thank you.

I will pass on your kind comments to Emma, Laura and Alannah and Lesley will be delighted you appreciated her coming to say hello.

I hope you continue to keep good health,

with very kind regards,

Karen
