"Such good quality care"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

My elderly grandmother attended A&E on a Saturday night due to concerns of a recurrence of an abscess that had been recently surgical treated. She was concerned that she may have sepsis as well as she had felt unwell during the day.

Despite A&E being (as always) busy and overstretched the team were professional, empathetic and considerate of her concerns. Arnel the triage nurse was kind and Andy quickly reviewed her and alleviated concerns. Thank you to the A&E team for such good quality care.

It's wonderful to hear that your grandmother received such great care during her visit to A&E, especially on a busy Saturday night. It sounds like Arnel and Andy really made a positive impact, providing both professional and compassionate support, which is exactly what’s needed in those stressful situations. I’m sure your grandmother felt reassured knowing that her concerns were taken seriously. I'll be sure to pass along your kind words to the team—it’s feedback like this that makes all the hard work so worthwhile. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience!
