"Excellent experience"

About: Victoria Hospital / Day Intervention Unit Victoria Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as a service user),

I was admitted to the day intervention unit at the Vic on a Monday morning to have a planned eye surgery done. The whole system was absolutely flawless, very efficient staff, and the process was very smooth.

The nursing staff were very kind, and despite being very busy getting all the patients ready for theatre, they made time for everyone.

The medical staff were excellent also and came to discuss my surgery before and after. I felt very well looked after.

I felt very well looked after and I was discharged home a few hours after my surgery with all my medication and eye drops.

The nurse, Kareen, who looked after me was brilliant, very kind and professional, so particular thanks to her.
