"A great labour experience"

About: Maternity / Labour Ward / Delivery Suite

(as the patient),

I had a great experience as a first time mum (& dad) within Ulster Maternity Hospital my stay lasted 2 days in mid May.

My midwives (& 3rd year student midwife) were fantastic & facilitated patient led care at all times, I felt very informed & appreciated the care & support provided. I definitely chatted the ears of them,  I think I really loved the sound of my own voice after about 12 hours on gas and air.

Our consultant doctors Naomi & Peter ensured we had a safe delivery and were very professional from entering EOU right through to the delivery stage, this provided a lot of reassurance that we were in safe hands and helped me enjoy/trust the process.

We have had our baby girl for a little time now & are besotted. Thanks for a great labour experience, hope to return in a number of years.

Dear Aine052,

Congratulations on the birth of your baby daughter, I hope you are both doing well.

Thank you for taking the time to post this positive feedback. I will pass on your kind words to Naomi and Peter and the teams who were involved in your care. As first time parents attending hospital can be an anxious time and it is important to us the you felt that all the staff who cared for you kept you well informed of all your options. We are delighted to hear that you were able to develop this trusting relationship with the team which helped you feel reassured and supported in our care.

Once again thank you for this positive feedback,

Kindest Regards

Sarah
