"Nothing short of amazing"

About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / 23 Hour Unit ( Ward 1A)

(as a relative),

My son broken his humerus bone and had to have surgery to have pins inserted.

The care and attention we received start to finish was nothing short of amazing, the nurses and care staff where very attentive, the hospital ward was spotless.

Claire and Isla (nurses) where absolutely amazing with my son although they where always busy they always where so attentive and nothing was ever a hassle or too much for them you guys are a credit to our NHS

As for the surgeon and his team of doctors and nurse I will never be able to express my gratitude to you guys and how you put us as parents and my son at ease Before and after surgery.

The play team where also amazing brought my son a PlayStation to his bed and where joking having a friendly chat with him (Nicola) I'm sure it was was amazing with him.

My 8yr old son expressed in his own words to his younger brother "there's no need to worry about breaking a bone as the doctors and nurse take extra special care of you and treat you really well"

I think that sums up some of how well we where treated during our 22hrs stay at hospital what a team you guys are

Very thankful for you all

Hi mineralwb38

Many thanks for your excellent comments regarding your sons recent visit to ward 1A. It is always stressful attending hospital with your child but when this happens as an emergency there is no time to prepare. I will pass on your thanks to all the staff involved on the ward, the surgeons, domestic staff and Nicola.

I do hope he is recovering well for his fracture and that he will not require any future stays in hospital but if he does, at least he won't be worried about it.

Again, thanks for taking your time to leave feedback. It really is appreciated.

Kind regards

Suzanne Pearson
