"Mum’s care at both hospitals"

About: Gartnavel General Hospital / Cardiac Rehabilitation Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Cardiology (Heart Conditions) Wards 6c & 6d Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Coronary Care Unit (CCU)

(as a relative),

My mum was admitted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in mid March 2025 following a massive heart attack. All her care in both coronary & cardiology wards was amazing and every member of staff were exceptional.

After two weeks she was transferred to Gartnavel General Hospital Ward 2A for rehabilitation and her stay there lasted six weeks.

Myself and all the family are so grateful for the fantastic care, effort and respect from all the staff on this ward. The work they do is incredible and no task was ever a bother and their dedication to their work is five star.

Thank you to everyone who was involved in our Mum’s care.

Dear Fern14

Thank you for taking the time to share your kind words following your mum’s recent care at both the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and Gartnavel General Hospital.

We are truly sorry to hear that your mum suffered a massive heart attack, and we hope she is continuing to recover well. It means so much to hear that her care across the coronary and cardiology wards, and later during her rehabilitation on Ward 2A at Gartnavel, was delivered with such compassion, professionalism, and respect.

Your heartfelt appreciation for the dedication and efforts of our staff will be shared with all the teams involved. Feedback like yours is incredibly uplifting and a powerful reminder of the impact their work has on patients and families alike.

On behalf of everyone at NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, thank you again for your generous words of gratitude. We wish your mum continued strength and good health on her recovery journey.

Kind regards

Kevin
