Dear Coronary Care Team

I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the nurses and staff at the RD&E Coronary Care Unit for the exceptional care I received following my heart attack in October last year. From the moment I arrived, I was met with professionalism, kindness, and unwavering support, which made a challenging time much easier to bear.

A special thank you to Nadia, whose thoughtfulness in finding me a private room helped me get the rest I so desperately needed after struggling with sleep deprivation. That small act of kindness made an enormous difference to my recovery.

I would also like to extend my sincere appreciation to Megan, the trainee nurse, as well as Anna, Kathleen, Andy, Clive and all the others (I can’t remember their names) who all demonstrated outstanding bedside manner. Their professionalism, warmth, and reassuring presence provided me with great comfort and confidence in my care.

Please pass on my deepest thanks to everyone who looked after me. I am truly grateful for the dedication and compassion of your team, and I will always remember the care I received at Exeter Hospital.

I have since had a quintuple bypass and hope to be out of heart failure in the coming months .
