"Made sure I understood exactly what was going to happen"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Trauma & orthopaedics (wards 26, 27, 61 & 62 )

(as a service user),

I damaged my ankle playing badminton and suffered an osteochondral defect and ligament damage which needed surgery.

I wish to thank every person involved in my care over this time, but I wanted in particular to mention the surgeon Mr Crane. The way he explained what to expect was excellent, I felt like he really made sure I understood exactly what was going to happen, and he was very approachable and listened and answered any questions I had.

Then at my post surgery check up he was again very helpful and positive. Getting surgery is quite an intimidating and frightening experience so I just wanted to extend my thanks to Mr Crane for making this as good as it could be.
