Our daughter had been vomiting for 36hrs and eventually showed a temperature of 39.1. She was very lethargic and zoned out so we phoned NHS 24 who referred us to A&E.
When we got to A&E she was assessed and sent through to resus to get some oxygen and be monitored further. Nurses in A&E were amazing and very reassuring.
We were then sent through to the children’s ward and again the nurses and doctors who we spoke to were amazing. They were lovely to our daughter who is only 18 months so was terrified.
They told us everything we wanted and needed to know and kept us up to date throughout. They couldn’t have been any nicer.
Overall both teams in both departments were lovely and amazing throughout.
