"A lot of compassion and empathy"

About: Victoria Hospital / Paediatrics

(as a service user),

Our baby developed a fever after immunisations and was taken to hospital. He went downhill quite quickly and had to have bloods taken. The results came back as him having a high level of infection and he had to get a lumbar puncture. We were really worried about our baby and the tests that he had to endure.

The staff on the ward were really good and showed a lot of compassion and empathy and took really good care of him. Alex, Fiona, Maddie, Tia, Steph and Victoria all gave a really high level of care and helped to put us at ease. There were many other members of staff that were great but I can't remember all their names. Our baby is now back to being a happy smiley baby and we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone involved in his care.
