"Chest pain during angiogram"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Xrays and scans

(as the patient),

Whilst having a planned angiogram suddenly in the last few minutes I was experiencing chest pains that when finished informed the staff who then offered my some angina spray, but I then informed them that was of no use and told them the pain was in the region of 8 I was taken to my rest area where I spent the next 4 hrs plus before being told I could go home. I asked is this level of pain normal I was informed to get in touch with my doctor for further consultation

It was the next day I attended my GP who sent me rapidly to clinical assessment unit where after check discovered that I had suffered a heart attack which I am at present being treated for within the unit

Morning Robinsky,

I am sorry to hear of your experience and keen that we talk you about this.

Can you reach out to the nurse in charge if you are still an inpatient within Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh or if you do not feel able to do this just now please contact; loth.feedback@nhs.scot with your details.

Look forward to hearing from you,
