"Disjointed and unresponsive service"

About: Watford General Hospital

Tests conducted in 3 locations and trying to find anyone to answer queries by phone impossible…often buck passing to unanswered extensions. Months of wasted time due to glacial response time between tests. Finally saw a consultant who told me what had been obviously apparent for months and told the wait for surgery would be 7 months. Abysmal. I voted with my feet and found another hospital. The consequence of this is that I am now having a repetition of tests (and more) that were conducted previously. My condition has deteriorated since I presented a year ago. In large part I attribute this appalling waste of time to the systemic dysfunctionality, and complete lack of urgency, of West Herts Hospital Trust Urology department.
