"A brilliant unit"

About: Lurgan Hospital / Rapid Access Clinic

(as a service user),

I went to my appointment first thing. I was expecting to get a brain scan as that was what I was told on the phone by the person who gave me the appointment! I expected to be in and out fairly quickly and my husband who was with me was going to go into work after my scan. I was met by a nurse who said they had no scanner but that I was there for a full medical and would be quite a few hours.

Well anyway I’m glad I went, I had bloods checked. Blood pressure done. I was seen by the nurses, the consultant, the physiotherapist, and the occupational health lady. Everyone in the unit was wonderful, so caring and cheerful. By the time I left in the afternoon, there were referrals in place and I was given aids to help me. Every thing was explained as we went along. A brilliant unit .
