I had an appointment at Crieff Cottage Hospital recently, and was quite surprised that there was no front of house receptionists, as I'd often seen the Hospital to be quite busy, very unusual indeed. Therefore I did not know which area I was to wait, after sitting in the front area, and not seeing anyone; I eventually asked a very kind gentlemen/patient, if I was seated in the correct area to have my blood drawn; to which he said no.
I then moved up to area 2, and waited a while longer; until I eyed someone in uniform, and gave her my name; after which she later called me up. Wendy the Phlebotomist was extremely professional and apologized for the wait, and explained that there was no Receptionist this day. Truth be told, I don't even remember her putting in the needle and drawing blood, she was that good! She made the experience a pleasant one, as I'd not eaten or had anything to drink at all that day; typically when I have to fast, I can get extremely light headed. I would highly recommend anyone not liking having blood drawn, to go to Wendy, she's a real asset to the NHS.
