"Alzheimer's diagnosis and treatment"

About: Older People's Mental Health / South Perthshire Older People's Community Mental Health Team

(as a relative),

My wife was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in December 2023. Although the initial diagnosis felt a little 'blunt', the care we have received since had been first class. We have had regular medication reviews with Abbie who has always been welcoming and friendly whilst providing answers to all our questions. Additional support from Marian (Alzheimer's Scotland) has been very welcome,  providing advocacy and networking opportunities.

Overall, the support we have received has felt well coordinated.

Dear JR5mt69

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on the care and support that you have received. I am glad to hear that, despite your experience at the point of diagnosis, the care and support that you have received from Abbie and Marian since diagnosis has felt coordinated. I will pass this positive feedback on to them.

I would be keen to learn more from your experience regarding diagnosis and how we can improve this. If you would like to discuss this further, please feel free to contact me on 01764 653173 ext.54459.

Kind regards

Gayle Thomson
