"Help to stay at home"

About: North Lanarkshire Health & Social Care Partnership / Assistive Technology Team

(as a friend),

I got involved with the assistive technology team after I found myself helping an elderly gentleman who had lost his wife and needed help to remain at home.

Gary was fantastic and took the time to explain how he could help and the different options available. He listened to the gentleman even when the conversation went off at a tangent. The assistive clock that was put in place has really helped with the medication routine.

I cannot praise Gary enough for all his help and know if any other assistance is required the team will be available.

Our team offer technology ideas/solutions for residents of North Lanarkshire. We can be consulted with or can assess for specific pieces of technology relating to falls/epilepsy/GPS and other types of monitoring equipment to help support people to remain safe or with planning their support.

Thank you for sharing your story. It's heart warming to hear how Gary's support made such a positive impact. The Assistive clock has truly helped with the medication routine. Your kind words mean a lot to us and we'll make sure to pass your feedback on to Gary.
