"You have saved me"

About: Addiction services / The Asha Centre

(as the patient),

I have been an addict for 15 years, I was addicted to heroin and pregabalin at my very worst time in life.

I was with Woodlea House and they got me into The Asha Centre because I was pregnant and in desperate need for help. I had tried many times before on my own but always relapsed. This was my first time ever going into treatment.

I was so so nervous because I didn't know what to expect, on arrival I felt comfortable straight away the staff were extremely friendly and put me at ease. Every staff member was lovely and really care about the patients. The doctors and nurses do everything they can to help with my addiction, they even help with any other health issues you have not even relating to drugs.

I spent 3 weeks at Asha centre and loved it. I was so sad to leave but also so happy because I knew I was ready and it was my time. The staff have educated me on understanding my addiction and the tools I need to deal with life.

I was so depressed now before entering Asha now I wake everyday happy for each day clean from drugs.

The Asha Centre will forever have a place in my heart for everything each member of staff have done for me. Thank you so much you have saved me.
