"Good care"

About: General Surgery / Elective Surgery (Ward 7 & 8)

(as a service user),

I had elective surgery in Perth Royal Infirmary. I had to stay in a little longer than anticipated. The aftercare on Ward 7 was so good. The senior charge nurse was engaged with her team and the patients. The nurses were calm, reassuring, knowledgeable and attentive. Health care assistants were really helpful and patient and even the domestic staff were chatty and cheerful. The experience was as good as I could have expected and a really great start to my recovery. I am very thankful to them all.

Dear lionst43,

Thank you for taking the time to post your story on care opinion - I will ensure that your kind words are shared with all members of the ward team.

We strive to provide our patients with the very best of care and attention during their stay on the ward, and we are delighted that you recognised this.

We are also pleased that we were able to support you through your surgery, even though your stay was a bit longer than planned, and we would like to wish you well for your continued recovery.
