I am writing to express my concerns regarding the support I have received from our assigned health visitor.
I have never received written confirmation of appointments and on multiple occasions, they have arrived at our home without prior notice, which has been unsettling and inconvenient.
More significantly, I am concerned that my baby did not receive the developmental checks at the recommended times.
When I raised this, I was told our family was considered a core family and therefore did not require additional support. I feel this assessment does not reflect our situation.
My child has been under paediatric care and we have also been working with a dietician.
In this context, support and guidance from our health visitor would have been both appropriate and helpful.
I feel let down by the lack of communication and the absence of the support that should be expected as part of the health visiting service.
I would appreciate it if my concerns could be reviewed and taken into account, so another mother/family doesn’t feel the same way I have.
