"I can't praise them enough"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

I had a small umbilical hernia and although not causing me any great issues I decided to get it repaired, from referral to pre-op to getting my appointment took no time at all. I arrived for my operation and from the minute I walked in the door I was treated very professionally, the staff from reception, surgery, doctor and cleaners were all amazing and couldn't do enough to make me feel at ease.

The place was spotless, I was constantly being asked if I was ok and if I needed anything, the surgeon visited me and answered all my questions, the anaesthetist visited me and went over everything, gave me options on whether I wanted to be awake or knocked out, explained all the ups and downs, what could go wrong and what to expect, if I chose to be awake I could listen to music or chat with the team during the operation ( I chose to be knocked out). 

The team checked all my details at every stage and really looked after me, to be honest it felt like the NHS hospital that we think it should be and I was blown away with it.

 I think it was only about 8 weeks from my doctor seeing me at Auchtermuchty that I had my operation including meeting the surgeon, having my pre-op and a phone call the same week with a date for my operation.

Honestly credit where credit is due, I can't praise them enough.
