"Fantastic experience from start to finish"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Vascular Surgery (Ward 8)

(as a service user),

I underwent an Endovascular repair to an abdominal aorta aneurysm and common iliac aneurysm recently at University Hospital Hairmyers  (under the care of Mr Siddiqui and his team). The whole experience was exceptional (from pre op assessment, to the day of surgery, to care received on ward 8).

A certain level of anxiety is to be expected when faced with surgery but the approach and care experienced within the Vascular Department, without question, helped to minimise this.

Kudos to Mr Siddiqui and his team.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding the care you received from the pre-operative and vascular team. All staff will appreciate your feedback following surgery and as Craig says, this will be shared with Mr Siddiqui as well as the wider team.

I can appreciate what a worrying time this has been and reading that the team were able to help to minimise the anxiety is important in terms of staff reflection.
