I had two strokes at the age of 46.

In March 2025 whilst at work, I experienced a stroke which resulted in admission to hospital. Upon return home and during my recovery, I had a 2nd stroke leading to a further stay in hospital.

Whilst recovery from the 2nd stroke was rapid, the impact on my confidence was significant and I initially struggled to process what had happened. I was fearful of a 3rd and what that might mean for my health and my family.

Thankfully, the Community Stroke Team provided a valuable support service which helped in my recovery both physically and mentally. I am now almost fully recovered and life is back to the way it was before my strokes.
