"Being social, change of routine and lunch options"

About: Locality Health and Care Services / Day Services - North

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Coming to Ross court has been a huge change for me because it is different from what I am used to. I have always been used to a different routine, constantly on the go, but coming here, I get to slow down, relax and socialise. I have been coming for just over a year and I am enjoying it. I was encouraged to join and its good coming here -  it's a change in life.

The only thing is lunch has limited options, but the meals are good. It is nice to come here and socialise and share stories with others. I think it's good we get transport to come here as we get picked up at the front door and get dropped off at the front door.

Hi,

My name is Ally and I manage the OIder Persons Day Care Service in East Ayrshire. I'm glad that Ross Court day service provides a time in your week to slow down, relax and socialise - these are all key to maintaining your wellbeing.

I am sorry to hear you find the meal options limited - we are currently looking at how we might improve this. There are changes in progress with the catering provision moving to the leisure trust - while this is in its early stages we hope this will lead to more menu options for people who attend day care.

Kind regards,

Ally
