"Unacceptable Neglect – Failed at Every Level of…"

Absolutely shocking experience — honestly not even deserving of one star. After being seen in A&E for some alarming symptoms, I was explicitly told to follow up with my GP for further assessment and referral. That was supposed to be a priority.

Since then, I’ve done everything the system expects of a patient: I called my GP surgery multiple times, I submitted requests via Klinik, I followed up when I heard nothing back, I called 111 when advised — and yet, I still haven’t been able to see or speak to a GP properly. Instead, I’ve been passed around in a constant loop of referrals and deflections, with no actual care provided. Days have gone by. Nothing has changed. No resolution. No support. No medical attention.

In the meantime, my symptoms persist, and they are not minor — they are deeply concerning and potentially serious. Yet, no doctor has assessed me, no tests have been done, and no one has bothered to follow up.

A GP did call once, but by the time I answered, they had already hung up — and despite the practice’s own protocol (and confirmation email) stating that a second attempt would be made, it never happened. That was their one and only contact attempt, and it failed.

What I’ve received so far isn’t healthcare — it’s bureaucracy and abandonment. The only consistent part of this experience has been stress, delays, and the sense that nobody is taking responsibility. I am extremely concerned that if something serious is going on — which is entirely possible, given the nature of these symptoms — it will be overlooked due to this shocking lack of action.

This is not just a failure in communication. It is a failure in duty of care. A system that is supposed to help people in urgent medical need has completely failed me at every step. I feel ignored, dismissed, and left to suffer without proper investigation or support.

I expected professionalism, care, and a response that matched the urgency of my condition. What I received instead was silence, confusion, and complete inaction. That is unacceptable. I sincerely hope no one else has to go through the same nightmare I have just to be seen by a doctor.
