I recently went to Paisley Royal Alexandra Hospital A&E for advice about cough and breathlessness.
I was seen and checked out very quickly and the doctor wanted to admit me because of low oxygen level.
Just 4 hours later, I had been x-rayed and was in a ward, (Acute Medical Unit ward 2) with a bit of extra oxygen.
Over the next 2 days I was carefully monitored and treated. I always felt happy that I was being kept informed.
All the staff (doctors, nurses and others) were very professional but still friendly and caring.
It is 40 years since I was last in hospital. I was very impressed with the speed, effectiveness and care given.
Thanks to all the staff who treated and helped me.
