"Post operative community phlebotomy"

About: Community Nursing Teams / PSEH Phlebotomy

(as the patient),

I had a double lung transplant in December 2024, which required very regular post operative blood monitoring, initially twice a week! From my first phone calls to request and organise at home phlebotomy, through the many and frequent blood taking sessions, I have had nothing but the highest praise for those in the community healthcare team who have helped me. They even posted off my bloods (in the boxes provided by the consultants at Harefield hospital) so that I didn’t need to leave the safety of my home. As an immunosuppressed patient entirely reliant upon this fabulous home service I was and remain very grateful for all the fabulous support I have received. Thank you all so much. Keep up the great work!
