"Elderly mother stay in Antrim Area Hospital"

About: Antrim Area Hospital / Ward C3 Female Surgical Northern Ireland Ambulance Service / Emergency ambulance response

(as a relative),

Our mother collapsed at home on a Saturday evening. The two female paramedics, who arrived after midnight, were wonderful and took her to Antrim Area Hospital where she received a high standard of care and compassion, especially from the medical and support staff in Ward C3. Their expertise and friendly manner eased a stressful situation for our family. We can’t speak of them highly enough

Our mother is recovering at home and her 6 fractured ribs are healing up nicely.

Everyone, from the doctors and nurses to the orderlies and porters are all stars in our opinion. Go Team C3!

Good afternoon filimgyk79,

My name is Nuala O'Connell and I am the ward manager of C3,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such positive feedback in regards to the staff involved in the care of your mother. It means so much to our teams to receive such feedback and to learn that the hard work and expertise are acknowledged by our patients and their families.

We know that it is an extremely stressful time for families when they have a loved one in hospital. I am glad to hear that our staff were able to alleviate your stresses.

I will ensure your kind words are shared with all the teams you have mentioned in your feedback.

I hope your mother is continuing to recover well and again, thanks for leaving such kind and valuable feedback.

Nuala
