"Excellent care provided"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Day Surgery

(as a service user),

I went in for day surgery for a metal plate in my left arm.

I arrived for my appointment and from the minute I stepped into Crosshouse Day Patient Dept I was immediately looked after, greeted with a smile and felt reassured.

I was initially looked after by Claire & Lynsey who treated me with dignity and respect.  Claire read my notes and realised I had a needle phobia so made sure I was given the relative treatment.

I received constant updates from each member of staff who dealt with me and each time was spoken to in a respective manner.

I was then looked after after my surgery by nurse Moffat who was extremely attentive and kind.

Everyone I dealt with that day are an absolute credit

To your hospital and I honestly thank each and every one of them

Dear Duffy421

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to share this lovely feedback about the care provided within the Day Surgery Unit, University Hospital Crosshouse.

I am sorry to hear that you required an admission to our Day Surgery Unit to have an operation on your arm. It is however, great to know that our staff were able to put you at ease whilst you were under their care and that you received such reassuring, friendly and respectful care from them.

Our staff really appreciate receiving feedback from their patients and it will be my pleasure to share your kind comments with the wider Team in the Unit and with Claire, Lynsey and Nurse Moffat in particular. I know they will be delighted to receive this feedback and it will be really encouraging for them to know that you felt so well supported by them.

Please accept my best wishes for your ongoing recovery and thank you once again for taking the time to acknowledge your care experience.

Kind Regards

Pamela
