About: Maternity care / Antenal Clinic

(as a service user),

I visited the mater hospital today for my first antenatal booking clinic.  This is my first pregnancy and I was very nervous going.  

I was extremely impressed with the efficiency the clinic ran with.  At no point was I sitting in the waiting area any longer than 5 minutes.  I have never visited such an organised well run setting.  

All staff I encountered were extremely pleasant.  The atmosphere was quiet, calm and relaxed.  Midwife Kathryn was so lovely, professional and had a very nice manner.

Thank you for taking the time to feedback about your experience of the Mater Antenatal clinic.

I will share your positive feedback with your midwife Kathryn and the whole Antenatal clinic team.

Following feedback from service users like yourself the Antenatal clinic team have worked hard to ensure that women are seen efficiently, within a calm and relaxing environment to ensure that women feel that their appointments are unrushed and meet their expectations. Following the implementation of Encompass (the new maternity digital record) and the reorganisation of the Antenatal clinics feedback from women is so important to ensure that the service continues to meet the needs and expectations of our service users.
