"Staff talked over between themselves"

About: Dr Gray's Hospital / Ophthalmology (Eye Problems)

(as a relative),

My mum attends Dr Gray’s Hospital out patient eye clinic for eye injections.

The things she has experienced are

- staff talking over her between themselves about their health issues prior to giving the injection to her. This increased the anxiety she already had about the procedure

- not giving sufficient time for the local anaesthetic to work before giving the injection

- lack of understanding once procedure is done that her eyes need to adjust and are blurry and she needs time before leaving the room to go outside

- her eyes are washed out immediately after the anaesthetic drops are instilled. Would this not wash away the anaesthetic ?
