"So much kindness and support"

About: Antrim Area Hospital / Ward C4 Male Surgical

(as a relative),

My husband was admitted to Antrim Area Hospital in March with jaundice and fatigue. We transferred from A&E to ward C4 on the early hours of Tuesday morning. Unfortunately, my husband got a diagnosis that we were not expecting at all and has completely knocked us off our feet. I honestly don't know how we would have managed this week if we didn't have the support from the staff in C4.

From deputy Sr Ciaria, SN Kirsty, HCA Pat and all the other members of the team, everyone treated not only my husband but myself and my Son with so much kindness and support. We were allowed to sit with my husband day and night no question asked. The Team in C4 are an absolute credit to the Northern Trust.

hi nuthatchjg69,

My name is Michelle McFerran and I am the ward manager in ward C4. Firstly let me thank you for taking the time to submit this care opinion, I am very proud to manage ward C4 and I know how hard the team work, under daily pressures, so being able to share with them such a positive care opinion means so much.

I am sorry to hear that your husband received an unexpected diagnosis while in the ward, but I am glad to hear you and your family felt supported during his time here, I hope he is receiving ongoing management with his health needs. Please be assured I will share this with the whole C4 team, and thank you so much again, for taking the time to submit.

kind regards

Sr Michelle McFerran
