"Cannot fault the treatment"

About: Occupational Therapy / Occupational Therapy - Outpatient Hand Service Perth Royal Infirmary / Plastic Surgery & Burns

(as a service user),

Operation carried out in February at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, on left hand for dupuytrens contracture affecting 3 fingers. Aftercare was excellent from wound nurses in Dundee and Perth, followed by OT in Perth where I was treated by Asma.

Asma took time to explain everything very clearly and provided me with relevant exercises and advice to ensure a positive outcome after the surgery.

I have now been discharged but can contact Asma should I have any questions or concerns over the forthcoming few weeks.

NHS often receives criticism but I cannot fault the treatment I received from Ms Munro, who carried out the surgery, and the rest of the surgical team pre and post op.

Thankyou to everyone involved.

Dear foxtroth87

I'm glad to hear that you had a good experience and outcome following your surgery. The post operative rehabilitation guided by the hand therapy team and your hard work are key ingredients to a successful outcome.

I will share your story with the members of the team, specifically Miss Munro and the surgical team.

Hi foxtroth87,

Thank you so much for leaving such lovely feedback. The nurses in PRI outpatients really enjoy working with the plastic surgery patients and take great pride in their nurse-led service.

I am delighted to hear you are happy with all aspects of your care from everyone involved and I will pass on your feedback to all the nurses here in Perth Outpatients. 🙂

Yours sincerely,

Leah Hicks (SCN Outpatients PRI)
