I was walking to the bus station via Common Brae when I turned my ankle on uneven pavement. The pain was unbelievable. My daughter picked ne up and suggested going to Arbroath Minor Injuries Unit they were happy to see me.
She wheelchaired me in, the first lady I saw was so pleasant happy and smiley, putting me at ease straight away after assessment and paperwork she got me some pain relief.
I was then taken into the treatment area and was assessed and examined. I was given more pain relief thank god and sent for x-ray which revealed a Fractured Fibula at the Ankle.
I was fitted with a moon boot and allowed to go home.
Everyone was very professional, caring and reassuring, I can't praise them enough, thank goodness for this unit.
