"Such a warm and approachable manner"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Outpatients Department (OPD)

(as a service user),

Following a Consultant appointment, I was sent to have my bloods taken at the Ramone at Craigavon Area Hospital. This was the first day of the implementation of Encompass. There were a few teething problems that caused my appointment to be delayed and some confusion when I arrived as they weren't expecting me.

However the Ward sister nurse, Courtney dealt with the situation in such a warm and approachable manner. It was evident the general atmosphere was slightly stressed due to Encompass but Courtney remained professional throughout, apologetic and kept checking in with me with the developments as they were happening. During my blood test she chatted to me and put me at ease. I hardly felt her taking my bloods, she was great. A real asset to the hospital!

Hi there! Thank you so much for using our Care Opinion platform - we appreciate all forms of feedback! And thank you very much for your kind words and more importantly, thank you for showing patience towards our team especially on GoLive day! The system is very new to everyone - so your lovely comments mean a lot, personally. I'm delighted you felt at ease amongst the chaos! All the best with your ongoing care.

Courtney
