"Caring & Compassionate Midwives"

About: Maternity care / Maternity Ward Maternity care / Observation Led Unit

(as a friend),

I was my friends birthing partner early May. She was admitted for an Induction of Labour, we were greeted by Faye & Charlotte. From the minute they entered the room they were very caring, explained all the process of induction to an anxious first time mum, answering any questions that she had, and asking us if there was anything that they could do for us.

My friend was unfortunately taken for a Category 1 Caesarean Section under GA - this was frightening for both me and my friend, Charlotte came in to the room to update and reassure me on the situation and brought me round to Observation with the Senior Charge Midwife to meet baby which was so emotional but a lovely precious moment.

Being a nurse myself I was deeply grateful for the caring nature, patience and compassion shown to my friend which eased her anxieties. Faye & Charlotte are excellent Midwifes and are an asset to NHS Fife maternity services. They were nearing the end of the shift by the time my friend came back from theatre, but all is well with mum and baby. My friend is thankful for the care given by Faye & Charlotte.

Thank you for taking the time to contact the service. I would like to congratulate your friend on the arrival of her baby and wish you all well.
It is always lovely to receive such positive feedback about our team members and we will ensure they receive this.

Best wishes
