"What a shame"

I have tried calling on numerous occasions to get appointments for treatment. Every time I call I get told to call back the following morning at 8am or to use the Econsult form- which is always full and can never do. Was also told that if an emergency to call 111 where they can make an appointment with a GP on my behalf . Even trying to make a routine appointment was told by reception that they don’t do these anymore and the only way to get an appointment is to either use Econsult or call at 8am. This used to be such a great surgery pre Covid. Since then I feel everything has gone down hill. It’s such a shame that people’s health should suffer and deteriorate due to this shambolic system that clearly doesn’t work. You need to go back to the regular system that worked well! Shame on all that work at the surgery including the GP’s

Thanks for your feedback. We changed our appointment system both in response to feedback from our patients who were having to endure significant wait times for appointments, and in response to contractual pressures from NHS England. It is no longer possible to operate the appointment system we did pre-COVID I'm afraid, but watch this space as things are likely to change again imminently which is likely to improve things going forwards.
