"Felt at home"

About: Glenrothes Hospital / Rehabilitation & Recovery

(as a relative),

My Dad had a 3 month stay on Ward 2 at Glenrothes Hospital in the last few months.

He was cared for so well, and we as a family were also. He loved the conversations with staff, and his safety and welfare were always paramount. The nurses were so lovely, and were always happy to answer any questions I had, and also, give a cuddle on the days that it was much needed.

We were able to pop in whenever, and due to locality, close to our home, this was a god send.

The only thing that could have improved it would have been a secure garden setting and more access outdoors.

I think Dad would have liked to stay there a bit longer truth be told. He felt that at home by the end of his stay.

Thank you so much to all who were involved in looking after my Dad.

Dear Starry7

Thank you for taking the time to provide such kind feedback of the care that your dad received in Ward 2 Glenrothes Hospital. It was a pleasure to look after him and your family and I have shared your lovely comments with the team. I am pleased to hear that you felt able to come and go as I know how stressful it can be when a loved one is in hospital.

Thank you again for sharing your story.

Kind regards

Lorraine
