About: Prince Charles Hospital Site Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust

(as a service user),

Fall while running. Broke bones needed surgery. Severe loss of dignity with follow on loss of mobility. Was not happy to stand sit in the street for 3 hours for ambulance but that is the system. The ambulance crew was kind and caring throughout my time with them. The surgery team was fantastic and able to operate the same day. The ward nursing care was good but as some common medicines affect me and my other medication was not prescribed to my routine. I had to repeat and repeat to get the message through. General ward staff were kind and caring.

Restored my faith in humanity but I was told to move as much as possible but general physiotherapy is suspended on the weekends. ( No steps forward or back!) The catering team were superb with the budget they have but it would be nice to have squash as a drink option. I have no family locally so if the hospital could provide a reliable WiFi it would stop my feeling of isolation.
