I’ve been under the mental health services for 4 years and recently just finished my second round of Structured Clinical Management (scm).
Throughout the years I have received nothing but professionalism, care and understanding. I came under the services due to being in crisis and at first I thought there would be nothing to help take away the feelings I was having and the behaviours I ended up displaying.
Once diagnosed with (EUPD) support was offered and explained by Nurse Miss Lake and DR Ambrose. I praise them for never giving up on me and all the hard work, consistency and effort they’ve put in throughout. Since finished my therapy group sessions along side my one to ones I’ve noticed a huge difference within myself. I feel understood and I know the skills to use and understood the effort I need to make to use these skills in my daily living.
The therapy is a course that you have put in the effort and work for this to have an impact on your life and even though there was times I felt it wouldn’t work, it has. The course was delivered in a way that us the patients could interact and discuss the topic subjects. At first it was something that I was anxious to take part because it was within a group but I found this was so beneficial to hear how others Experience similar ways of thinking. I would like to say a massive thank you to Paul, Libby and Phoebe for delivering SCM.
It is a shame that Dr Ambrose no longer works at Forest Gate, was an amazing Dr who listened to what you were going through and would follow through on your care.
