About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Emergency Department

(as a service user),

While enduring a long wait for minor ailments I was appaled that there were no facilities to get a drink. There was one vending machine that was for snacks only.

I find that appalling and would be very grateful to see it rectified. Having waited over 3.5 hours at the time of writing, and on a previous visit 9 hours, I really think this is a severe lack.

Thank you for your feedback regarding the lack of facilities whilst waiting in the emergency department. You have highlighted that there is no provision to get a drink.

I am sorry that you waited so long without access to refreshments. I will indeed look into this.
