"Broken arm"

About: Victoria Hospital / Accident & Emergency Victoria Hospital / Day surgery Victoria Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as a service user),

I broke my arm in April & spent the morning in A&E. It was a horrible & painful experience, but I cannot speak highly enough of every staff member.

The nurse practitioner was so kind & caring not only to me but to my husband & daughter keeping everyone up to date at every step. I was in so much pain xray & ct scans must have been difficult but again they were so patient & caring.

I came into ward 33 for surgery in early May with an overnight stay. The orthopaedic drs & anaesthetist again were amazing. I now realise it was a tricky surgery but I couldn’t have asked for better care. The ward staff both day & night shifts couldn’t have done more for me.

Nothing was too much bother to them, in fact they encouraged me to use the buzzer. I thank every one of them for all they did. I have nothing but thanks & praise for the Victoria Hospital staff.
