"Experience of attending Endoscopy Suite"

I had a follow-up colonoscopy two weeks ago after I had a positive bowel screening and polyp removal last year. I had 6 polyps removed then but a further two were more complicated and required consultant intervention.

I had been very impressed with the nurse endoscopy led service last year and was equally grateful this year for accessing the full endoscopy team. I wanted to commend the communication skills of the admin assistant who phoned to arrange and book the appointment, the welcoming and reassuring receptionist who greeted us; the student and senior nurse who clerked me in.

The nurse who stayed with me and explained the procedure throughout; the skill of the trainee who performed the procedure; the quiet skill of the assisting technician and the oversight of the consultant; finally the care and attention of the recovery team. A slick and skilled service indeed. Everything happened as per information provided and explained. Thank you all.
