"Visiting Diabetic Eye Screening clinic"

About: Diabetes / Diabetic Eye Screening

(as the patient),

Attending the clinic for the first time I was checked in swiftly and I did not have long to wait before I was taken in to have my eyes examined.

I was immediately put at rest by Bart, who asked me to read the eye chart using a shield to cover each eye.

Following the eye sight check Bart moved the retinal machine which takes a photograph of the back of your eye, in front of myself.

There was no pain or fuss to the examination.

As my pupils were large enough for the examination I did not require any drops.

The entire experience was smooth, well organised and carried out by professional and friendly staff.
