Had an accident while on my bike. Collided with another bike rider who I was overtaking when he decided to cut across my path. I was traveling at 17 mph and the impact caused me to fall hard on my right side. My injuries were grazes to my knee, thigh, elbow and my chest wall which has turned out to be very painful.
I had a restless night in bed but managed to get myself to work, but the pain in my back and chest was to debilitating so I contacted my location practice to ask to see my doctor.
Unable to see a doctor, the receptionist contacted my local Minor Injuries Unit and in no time I had an appointment. The staff were very efficient and the nurse I seen was very professional and knowledgable. She understood my symptoms and provided me with the information to help my condition. I came away happy in knowing what was wrong and with meds to help with the pain.
All in all I had a great experience and in a super fast time, thank you NHS.
