Went to my doc as I kept passing out on standing up. My bp would drop substantially on standing up and walking. Saw Dr Grounds at Pathhead Surgery. She examined me and immediately sent me up to hospital to see consultant, this was late on a Friday.
I was taken in right away and had obs done right away along with an electrocardiography carried out. I had to have a full body scan done and an x-ray at a later date. Upshot was I had to attend every week for a month to have bp checked and screened for other disorder.
The nurses and doctors in there are all worth their weight in gold, very attentive and put you at ease every time I went. I can’t thank them enough, but I can’t single one out as they are all professional. Thanks to you all.
I am now back in care of bp after being told it looks like I have postural hypotension and put on Fludrocortisone for rest of my life. I’m still feeling a bit dizzy but the medicine takes time to kick in. Thank you ladies and gents.
