"Blunt and insensitive"

About: James Wigg Practice

My sister finds everything about the GP practice overwhelming. Zero continuity.

Receptionists continually obstruct as never take the time to stop and listen. Told her to hurry up as had others waiting.

The last GP barely made eye contact and complained when asked to explain in straightforward language .

From top to bottom the standard of communication is really poor and blunt distressing texting which we never know if it is a real person or AI - this needs to stop. No adjustments for anyone's disability because front line staff including professionals tell us they have never had disability training, communication training .

Dear MerryM,

We’re very sorry to hear about your sister’s experience and the distress it has caused. Clear, compassionate communication and appropriate support for patients with disabilities are essential. Your feedback has been shared with the team, and we take it seriously. We are reviewing staff training needs, particularly around communication and disability awareness, to ensure better care for all our patients. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Kind regards,

James Wigg Management
