About: Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I recently gave birth to my first baby, a beautiful baby girl, at Dumfries Royal Infirmary.

The care both myself and my baby received during this time was incredible and I cannot thank the wonderful staff enough for being so supportive and encouraging, and extremely helpful.

We stayed from the Sunday-Wednesday, and we could have stayed longer if we needed or wanted to which I found comfort in as I did not feel pressure to leave the hospital if I was not ready to do so.

We met so many midwives and doctors, as well as other staff on the wards like HCSWs, domestic staff etc, who were all amazing & I will forever be grateful to the maternity ward for the safe delivery of my baby girl.
