I have MND - Diagnosed in March 2023. Early months were quite easy mainly centred around my voice and chewing. Come the summer of 2024 my feet and to lesser extent hands started to weaken so I was assigned an Occupational Therapist - Sarah.
She assessed my needs which were quite minor but delivered a fast solution to keep me mobile at home. Since that day my MND has progressed requiring more and varied solutions to keep me safe at home.
We are still on the journey of updating and changing equipment to support my needs however here is summary to date of her support:
Communication Skills: Excellent both with me, my wife and a multitude of supporting third parties.
Her Manner: Nothing is too much trouble, Sarah is also very good at offering ideas about any given situation.
Time Keeping: Very reliable
Teamwork: Always brings the required people so a decision can be made.
Safety: Always checks the suitability of any equipment prior to my use of it
"Good at offering ideas about any given situation"
