"Shoulder surgery"

About: Woodend Hospital / Elective Orthopaedics

(as the patient),

From check in to check out…first class service.

DoSA was superb. Mr Cairns is a really friendly surgeon, very good at easing any worries pre surgery and I’m sure he did a great job (will confirm after painkillers subside)🥴

Anaesthetists were fantastic and dedicated.

Ward 10 aftercare could not have been better. Very caring and good humoured.

In at 07:15, out at 16:00 after a general anaesthetic and a rotor cuff tear repair along with sub acromial decompression.

Please pass on my heartfelt thanks to all concerned. You’re all doing a fantastic job. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Many thanks for taking the time to post your feedback on Care Opinion. It means a great deal to the teams to know that they are doing a good job. Posts such as yours help us understand what matters to patients. In your case you highlight the human side of healthcare. It is great to be good at what you do but to be great at how you do it is marvellous. We hope all our patients have experiences like yours.

Thank you again for posting and for highlighting the importance of friendliness, dedication, caring and humour as well as the expertise before, during and after surgery.
